Dinner October 22



Let's celebrate a favorite holiday of mine because it is so beautiful and meaningful-- Dia De Los Muertos! Bring a memory in the form of a relic* to remember an ancestor-- yes, in true KRAK style you will be asked to share :) (by "relic" I don't mean bones here people, I mean objects that hold meaning)

*Grapefruit and wild rosehip palomas
*Homegrown arugala and mizuna salad with roasted pumpkin, toasted seeds, and sorgum balsamic
*Curried gazpacho with sweet corn, avocado crema, and papadam
*Ney's Big Sky pulled chicken mole with amaranth-polenta cakes and lacinato kale
*Mexican chocolate peanut butter mousse pie

This meal is gluten and lactose free. It can be made vegetarian upon request.

Dinner 3-19-16

Indian Dinner at Laura and Paul's in Bayview!
6:45 pm, $30, BYOB

Pan-fried baby eggplants stuffed with almonds and spices, carrot-coriander and spinach-cumin sauces

Chicken* tikka masala served with cumin rice and roasted green beans, carrots, and cauliflower

Trio of home-made truffles made with raw cacao and coconut oil: Cashew Himalayan Pink Salt, Chocolate Chai, and Chocolate Avocado Mint

*can be substituted with tofu! This meal is gluten and lactose free.

Dinner 2-20-16

This is a very special meal, because it is highlighting wine made by my cousin Zac. For the past six years, he was growing grapes in Michigan and making his own wine. Each course is paired with a petite sampling of his work.

Course 1-- Home grown potimarron squash spinach salad with hazelnuts and hot brown sugar-balsamic-bacon dressing

Paired with Valvin Muscat

Course 2-- Smoky masala tomato soup with pan-fried panelle and shaved brussel sprouts

Paired with Marquette 2013

Course 3-- Portabella mushroom-eggplant moussaka with layers of potato, white beans, sundried tomato, almond-garlic cream, and a roasted red pepper sauce. Garnished with oven-roasted lacinato kale.

Paired with Marquette 2012

Course 4-- Chocolate raspberry truffle cake

Paired with Raspberry wine

It's the year of the Fire Monkey! BYOB, I recommend beer! Shenanigans promised.

Hot and sour soup with shiitakes and spring onions

Scallion pancake with dipping sauce and red cabbage-pickled garlic slaw

Roasted chestnuts, parsnips, and tofu with chili and fermented black bean in a lettuce cup with fried vermicelli

Spicy rice cakes with sautéed greens, egg, and peanut

Sesame lace cookie bowl with coconut-vanilla ice-cream and caramel

Brunch 1-17-16

Hello everyone! Let's make the first meal of 2016 a relaxed one at my place... Can't wait to see you!

Sunday morning, 11 am, 2 small plates, $20, coffee and mimosas included

Sweet corn pancakes with baked brie, green tomato marmalade, spicy syrup, and a side of fruit salad.

Turnip green and caramelized onion frittata with goat cheese and herbs, home-made sunflower-almond bread with avocado butter
